Yesterday I found myself following a girl around Topshop until she was free so I could run over to ask her where she got the GORGEOUS dress that she was wearing from. When she was FINALLY off her phone she revealed the name of shop she had purchased this beauty from was PUBLIC BEWARE; a little store in Brick Lane. I took a pic of the girl’s dress (but it is not very clear so I have not posted the picture) and as soon as I got home, I immediately looked up PUBLIC AWARE on my laptop, I must say I was impressed with what I saw.
Unfortunately the dress was out of stock but there were many other yummy pieces. I am planning on paying a visit to PUBLIC BEWARE in the next few weeks. Look out for my blog post. In the mean time I have attached a few of my fav items.
If you have not already been to the newly refurbished Miss Selfridge,Oxford Circus store then; hellooo, what are you waiting for? The store looks fab!! The windows are filled with gorgeous water printed dresses ,tops and lovely shoes against a gorgeous backdrop with butterflies and birds
The store is filled with lots of lovely neon colours, pastel colours, and graphic prints. I love the stunning, floaty dresses as they capture the essence of summer and have a romantic feel . I particularly love the Designed by Miss Selfridge range, which is a beautiful 11 piece collection designed by the in house design team. The items are stunning!! See below for pictures.

I am so in love with prints at the moment! So yesterday when I popped into River Island on my lunch break, I found myself in awe of all the gorgeous graphic prints in store at the moment, in particular the Design Forum line by London based designer Julian J Smith. The collection consists of 15 colourful, eye popping printed items, all without the designer label price tag.
I am obsessed with ALL four of these AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL dresses!! Prices range from £34-£220. I have tried all 4 on and I tell you I am in LOVE!! I NEED ALL 4 but realistically my bank balance wont be able to handle this…. hmm what’s a girl to do?? answers on a postcard please lol! Help!!
Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer pose with their “Help” co-star Emma Stone at ESSENCE’s 5th Annual Black Women in Hollywood event.
I REALLY love this pic!!
If you have not seen the film ‘The Help’, its an emotionally but really good film!! I def recommend it.
A quick run down on the film; for those who have not seen it or read the book:
The film is set in Jackson, Mississippi and tells the story about a young white woman, Eugenia “Skeeter” Phelan, played by Emma Stone and her relationship with two black maids during Civil rights America in the early 1960s. Skeeter is a journalist who decides to write a controversial book from the point of view of the maids (known as the Help), exposing the racism they are faced with as they work for white families.
'The Help' is an adapation of Kathryn Stockett's novel also titled 'The Help'.
So it looks like another amazing designer has joined the Designers at Debenhams portfolio, the designer in question is British Designer Jenny Packham, who has joined forces with Debenhams to launch a Womenswear 19 piece collection. The collection will feature styles from bridesmaid dresses to gorgeous organza prom dresses. The Range will be called No.1 Jenny Packham and will also include a Children’s occasion wear collection and an accessories range.
The range launches in April 2012, Prices will start from £85 to £160 for the womenswear range and £18 for the accessories range.
I used to work for Debs (sigh) and So I know the buyer who is working on this range. She is a great buyer (and taught me a lot) so no doubt this collabo will be fab!! I’m excited to see this range!
Gorgeous Jenny Packham dress from her SS12 range.
I predict there will be a version of this in the No.1 Jenny Packham collection.
